Welcome to Edna, the reminder assistant who cares just enough to keep you on track. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

To make Edna work properly (and lovingly nudge you when needed), we collect:

Personal Details

Your phone number (so Edna knows where to send messages), your email (if you provide it), and any name or nickname you share.

Usage & Message Data

Reminders you create, messages you send to Edna and messages she sends back (so she remembers what you were talking about), plus basic logs for stability and troubleshooting. We only collect what we need to keep the conversation flowing smoothly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to send reminders through WhatsApp, maintain chat context, improve accuracy and user experience, and ensure everything runs safely. If you connect your Google Calendar, we use calendar data to display, create, update, and synchronize calendar events related to your reminders and meetings. We do not sell your data.

3. AI-Generated Messages

Some replies are generated using artificial intelligence. AI is helpful but not perfect. Please do not use Edna for emergencies, legal decisions, or situations that require certified professionals.

4. Message Storage & Human Review

To keep conversations natural, Edna stores chat history and reminders. A human may occasionally review a tiny sample of messages only to improve service quality, ensure safe use, or fix technical issues. Reviews are rare, limited, and respectful of your privacy.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share data only with service providers that help us deliver WhatsApp messages (and only the minimum required) or with legal authorities when required. No selling, trading, or hidden deals.

6. Data Security

We use standard security practices to protect your information. No system is perfect, but we do our best to keep your data safe.

7. Cookies

If you use our website, cookies may remember your preferences. Sadly, they are not the edible kind.

8. Your Rights

You can ask what data we have, update your information, request deletion, or stop using the service at any time. Just contact us and Edna will get back to you.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If anything important changes, we will do our best to let you know.

11. Google Calendar Integration

Our application may integrate with Google Calendar to enable calendar-related functionality. The integration is activated only after explicit user action and explicit authorization. When a user connects their Google account, the application may access calendar events and related metadata such as event titles, start and end times, attendees, and location information.

This data is used solely for functionality directly related to the calendar and is not used for any other purpose. The use includes displaying upcoming events, checking for scheduling conflicts, creating new calendar events (such as meetings scheduled through WhatsApp), updating existing events, and synchronizing calendar information with your reminders.

Calendar data is used only to provide the requested functionality and is not used for advertising or profiling purposes.

Calendar event data (such as titles, times, and attendees) is processed only as needed and is not stored permanently in our database. Access tokens and refresh tokens required for calendar access are stored securely (encrypted) in our database only while you maintain an active connection and are deleted upon disconnection.

Calendar data is not shared with third parties. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting services) solely for operational purposes to deliver the calendar functionality.

Users can revoke access at any time via their Google Account permissions settings or within the application settings.
