Edna's Rules

To keep the salon in order and avoid flooding, here are a few things worth knowing:

Staying in touch: Edna doesn't like talking to a wall. If there's been no interaction with Edna for 23 hours (button tap, message sent, or reminder created), she'll send a 'pulse check' message. If there's no response, Edna will temporarily pause sending reminders until she hears from you again. This is to avoid message flooding and to comply with WhatsApp policy.

Reminders to others: The responsibility for ensuring the reminder is received by the other party lies with the sender. Edna does her best to nudge, but she can't force anyone to do anything (though she really tries). Your contacts will also get a warning from her if she doesn't hear from them for 23 hours.

Message limits: The system operates under Meta (WhatsApp) limits. In exceptional cases of global WhatsApp network issues, there may be delays in receiving reminders.

Subscription cancellation (important!): What happens to future reminders when someone stops paying?

When the subscription ends, all future reminders will be deleted and will no longer be sent.

Changing phone number: What happens if the user changes their number?

The subscription is tied to the phone number you registered with. Changing your number requires an update through support.

Content responsibility: If someone asks Edna to remind them of something illegal or harmful.

Edna reserves the right not to send messages containing harmful, threatening, or illegal content.

Operating hours: Does Edna send messages at 2 a.m.?

Reminders will be sent exactly at the time you requested, including weekends and holidays, unless you set otherwise (or if Edna decided she needs a nap—just kidding, she doesn't rest).

AI accuracy:

Edna is powered by artificial intelligence. Although she's very smart, there may be errors in understanding free text. We recommend verifying that the reminder was captured correctly after creating it.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Edna, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any future updates.

2. Description of Service

Edna is a conversational assistant that sends reminders and engages in natural-language conversations. Some messages may be generated using AI models. While we aim to provide helpful interactions, responses may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for every situation.

3. User Responsibilities & Content

You are solely responsible for the content you send or request through Edna, including reminders, instructions, and any personal information you provide. You must not send harmful, illegal, abusive, or inappropriate content. If you choose to send reminders to other people, you are solely responsible for obtaining their consent to receive messages.

4. Data Usage & Message Storage

To provide conversation continuity and accurate reminders, Edna may store the messages you send and receive, reminder details you create, and the phone numbers or basic profile information needed to deliver your reminders. This data helps personalize your experience and maintain conversation context.

Human Oversight

A human operator may review a small subset of messages solely to ensure proper functioning of the service, prevent misuse, and improve quality and safety. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

5. AI-Generated Content

Some responses are generated by AI. These may not be perfectly accurate or tailored to every scenario. You should not rely on AI responses for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. You agree that Edna is not responsible for any actions you take based on AI-generated messages.

6. Limitations of Liability

Edna is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered, that AI responses will be accurate or appropriate, or that tasks will be completed even if reminders are sent. You acknowledge that you use the service at your own discretion and risk.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Updated versions will be posted here with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of Edna constitutes acceptance of any changes.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service in cases of abuse, misuse, illegal content, or violation of these Terms.

9. Refunds and Cancellation

Trial period: You have a 7-day trial. Cancellation within this period will not result in any charge. Subscription cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid month, and no further charges will be made. Refunds: Once a billing period has started and payment has been charged, no retroactive refunds are given for that period. Special cases: If you were charged by mistake or forgot to cancel, contact Liory within 24 hours of the charge; handling of such cases is at our discretion and is not a standing policy.
